November 2017: Conductix-Wampfler GmbH, located in Weil am Rhein, Germany, and one of the world’s leading manufacturers of systems for energy and data transmission to mobile consumers, is planning to acquire LJU Automatisierungstechnik GmbH from Grenzebach Maschinenbau GmbH. A respective contract was signed by both parties on 14th November 2017. Subject to the approval of the merger control authorities, the takeover should be completed by the end of this year. "With LJU's product range and know-how, we will be able to expand Conductix-Wampfler's product portfolio substantially to provide an even better service to our customers," said François Bernès, Conductix-Wampfler's Chief Executive Officer (CEO).

Headquartered in Potsdam, Germany, LJU is a supplier of control systems and communication solutions for various industrial applications and has been part of the Grenzebach Group since 2009. Its approximately 90 employees generate the largest share of its sales volume in the automotive industry. LJU’s control systems are used in electrified monorail systems for example. "Together with LJU, we will be well positioned to answer to an increasing demand from our customers, by providing complete mechatronic and automation solutions. The combined know-how opens up new development opportunities for existing and new markets," says Bernès.
